I have msn if any washer lovers are intrested to contact me but atm i'm at grandmas with her Modern hoover AL150 (which is fantastic).

Anyways the hoover drum pic by hoover zodiac I like the drum style as it doesn't have the silly lines going down it at the back.

[email protected] if you washer fans are intrested.

Hi there Josh

I think it is safe to say that your Zodiac and its ilk can trace it's parentage to the 'matchbox' series of machines, sold in European countries from 1971 onwards (replaced in the UK in 1974/75 - but carried on in other countries through to the late '70s).

The cabinet construction and, apart from the door latch, the door are identical - obviously the innards wont be the same!

With 'matchboxes' being a particular favourite of mine I occasionally trawl through Ebay Australia and have a gander at what is there. The machines below are available today (apart, unfortunately from the two machines down the right hand side - they are 1970's UK models 3236H and A3052 - Tom's A3236 is a later version of the 3236H).

Enjoy.
Paul
