Indesit first Tumble Dryer

Hi does anyone have pictures and details when the original Indesit made their first tumble dryer. I would assume late 1960's

Hi keith.

Am afraid that I havent the foggiest idea.

From trawling through Which magazines, I can say that I have noticed them mention an Indeit tumble dryer until around 1976/77, when they tested the TD5 - a very Candy looking machine.

Whether this was their first dryer and whether it was a Candy in drag, I cant say for sure.
Will try and dig out the only picture I have of the TD5 (a very grainy photo) when I get home at the weekend.

Hello Paul,

Thats sounds interesting a dragged up Candy Also I noticed the picture of your Hoover De Luxe, We had that machine in the 1970's only lasted four years and was a dreadful Machine the Zanussi S218T Replacement lasted 29 years. Hoover lost a lot of customers due to poor quality control and many people who had these machines went to other manufacturers within 5 years. Ironically Candy took over Hoover due to the Free Flights Scandal of the 1990's
