Yes there are lovely SS Farberware open hearth grills.

But I was wondering the name-brand of the indoor built-in gas (or electric) real BBQ grills that require powerful venting .....say such as as one sees on Bewitched, next to the Fridgidaire Flair, iubnder hte hyge copper vent-hood.

Whatever happened to these?

Hey Toggie,

The one we have is a built-in Majestic Char-Grill. It's actually a real charcoal grill. I'm assuming you'd use charcoal that was started outdoors.

However, it was used only once that I know of, and before I was in the picture. The way I understand it, the hood didn't do a very good job of smoke/soot extraction, and there was a mess.

I have a friend here in town that has a 50s atomic ranch house with one of these big grills w/ copper vent hood in a glassed-in sun room (if memory serves - haven't been inside the house in a few years).

I'll try to call him and get a few pictures this weekend.
