I can't remember if this was ever posted before but regardless it's a well done website on many things vintage with lotsa pictures etc. The page that comes up in the link isn't the home page so there's plenty more to see. I just linked to this page because it details the manufacture of cheesy appliances by the Bersted company in the 40's and 50's after they bought out a lot of well known and better quality manufacturers.. so it's kinda like a deja vu of whats happening now has all been done before, long before.

I'd seen a page or two of that site before, referenced by another board...I'm gonna bookmark that sucker this time...lotsa great old eye-candy throughout the whole site!
 
Thanks for posting the link...loved it!

My mother has a Manning-Bowman waffle iron that belonged to her grandmother. It's not the Twin-O-Matic, but it's built like a tank and she still uses it to this day. I'll be the owner of it eventually.
