Its nice to see the inglis royal as picture of the day would be nice to see as picture of the day the other canadian inglis washer dryer models like the superb models, citation models and inglis liberator models as picture of the days

This set reminds me of the avocado Whirlpool set my aunt and uncle bought when they built a new house in '67. The laundry room was between the kitchen and garage and I don't believe they ever installed a door in the cased opening between those rooms so the Whirlpools were always visible. Really a pretty set, and I'm not normally a big avocado fan.

This reminds me a lot of my Grandmothers set.

Inglis machines were very popular in Western Canada back in the 1970's and 1980's.

Unfortunately, now Inglis is kind of seen as a "Bargain Brand" now and Whirlpool is considered to be upmarket from Inglis.

You can still buy Inglis appliances in Canada, they're just a lot harder to find since it seems to me like they're out of a lot of the big box store distribution channels now.
