After searching for a number of years, today at Lowe's I finally found an intermediate base appliance bulb, T7 size.
My Kenmore chest freezer works very well, but came with a light under the lid that takes a small intermediate base appliance bulb. The one in there appears to be a T8, consuming at least 15 watts. The light was adequate but the heat unwanted. I wanted to replace it with an LED bulb, but for years all I could find were low lumen candelabra base lights, or medium case LED bulbs, most far too large anyway.
But at Lowe's I found, finally, an intermediate T7 equivalent. It's a GE product, rated at 170 lumens (more than the incandescent T7's 100 lumens). Wattage listed as 2 watts. GE being the huge company that it is, it's difficult to tell which numbers on the packaging are the actual bulb number, so here are all of them:

It appears to be brighter than the T8 bulb it replaced.
And I figure it will last forever.
Price was about $7.88. Not cheap, but I only need one!
And yes, I've already replaced the incandescent bulbs in all my fridges with LED versions - they are all medium base, and not too hard to find.
