I love that old house and most all of whats in it too! What a steal at $174,950. It reminds me of the older homes in Petaluma, Calif. in 1970 when I moved there. I could move right in and have to change very little. I hope that whoever ends up buying it will appreciate the original bones and preserve them, rather than doing contemporary gut job reno with “open concept” and the ubiquitous 21st century gray and white color scheme.
This home in Sonoma Co. would be going for 1.5 million or more with just some new exterior paint, landscaping and sprucing up of the out buildings.
Winters are usually mild here in the southwest (CA, NV, UT, AZ, CO, NM) though in the mountains it does snow in the wintertime. The southwest is the best region to live in the US if you don’t feel like dealing with winter in general.
Obviously most parts of the home were staged to appear vintage. Apparently the owner is/was a vintage electronics repair enthusiast. While the interiors are pleasant enough, the exterior would require extensive restoration to bring it back to it original appearance. It would definitely be an interesting project.
Not a bad looking house overall. I like the inside, as it reminds me of the old house our sitter Ellen H. and her husband lived in when I was a kid. The exterior could use some work, but isn't awful by any means.
Is actually a very nice city, some really beautiful old homes, Its about a 2 hour drive from me, ive been to many great estate sales there and a couple of AW folks live there.
WOW! That is obviously Archie's house in Riverdale where he lives with his mother, Molly Ringwald. It's easy to see that Betty's bedroom window next door looks right into Archie's.
