Very nice mixer! I had never seen this model before although I had seen some mixers with three whisks. I was wondering why on earth the mixerhead can be turned upside with the whisks upward. Is it for cleaning the whisks and getting splatters all over the kitchen?

This is the second to last version of the triple whip,not exactly sure of the date but do know its early 50's, you turn the machine upside down for the jucier and power takeoff.

Triple Whip

This was the first model of the verticle motor Triple-Whip made in 49, 50 and 51. Fun, powerful and relatively quiet. The next two models after had a beater release on the dial. You turned it past off and out came the beaters. The last model made in 58, 59, 60 and 61 had a wider motor, more power and very a touch more stable on the stand. Ask the seller to ship the bowls separately and be sure to remove the mixer from the stand for shipping. You'll love it.

Triple Whip.

We have the bowls, but not the mixer. These are supposed to be the best for making fluffy things like whipped cream.

Kelly, didn't you mean the first version of the "horizontal" motor triple whip. It also rotates upside down to fit the juicer attachment which I don't have, yet.
Here's my GE Triple Whip with the vertical motor
but only showing one beater, all 3 don't fit when you use the small bow.
It also turns upside down for a juicer which I don't have either.
Plus it has a light to illuminate the bowl.

In front of the first beater that shines into the bowl. This is the mixer of my childhood. I have not seen it in years. Buy this. It is great, my Mom used to swivel the motor upside down to clean it after use.
