Hmmm I've never seen this one before..

Wow, never seen anything like that! Kinda reminds me of the heyday of Houston Jewelry. They carried a full line of small appliances and electronics. LOVED perusing the new catalogs when they arrived.

I have seen those before..

early 1970's, but the ones I remember had different jars

I remember that style also. The trouble with the Waring Blenders was that they went well into the middle 70s before they had a blender jar with removable blades, or a removable jar base like Oster and Hamilton Beach. I pointed this out as I tried to steer customers toward the Oster or Panasonic Blenders, but if it was a wedding present that meant nothing, I rang up the Warings in harvest and avocado plastic.

reading the description, 1969 might be right for that, however all the vintage catalogs I have from that era(68-70) don't show anything like this in Waring, and everything has the permanant blades.
A couple of years ago I bought a Waring Blender new from Williams-Sonoma, The classic beehive, and took it right back after I got it home, namely for the non-removable blades. It would be absolute murder getting chocolate frosting out of that jar!!

Hooray for vintage Radaranges. I'm tending to use my dial timer model the most now because it's so much easier to just twiddle the dial and hit the start button rather than pressing all those buttons in sequence. The other one here wanted the GE back in place above it rather than the Touchmatics so I had to give in somewhat plus the side opening door is a bit easier to access when the unit is up on the shelf. My dials don't light up, now I'm wondering if they're supposed to as well...hmmm

I have a late 60's model and although the bottom doesn't screw off the blades do have a latch clip on the underside that lets you remove the blade assembly, the other one I have doesn't remove, it has a metal pinwheel drive on the bottom of the jar.

WOW!!--Super Neato Blender-never seen one like that.The machine is in practically unused condition.The Waring blender jars with the "fixed" blades are actually preferred by the commercial users-I prefer them as well-More rugged and easier and faster to clean.I don't like having to dissemble and reassemble blender jars each time I use it for cleaning.The fixed blade jars are best for folks who use the blender for preparing drinks-That Waring unit would sure make a Cool Looking Bar blender!!If you do use the blender like a food processer-such as preparing cake frostings-you would then prefer the removable blade jar.that way you could scoop out the thick mixture from the bottom of the container.and come to think of it Removable blade jars won't meet NSF sanitation standards.The only disadvantage of that Waring machine is the controls would get flooded and the electronics in them damaged if the jar should overflow and leak.You would have to be careful if you were using that machine.Most new blenders the control panels won't get wet if the machine overflows-again another safety requirement on both household and commercial machines.

Really cool "space age" looking blender! It would be great fun to have.

I have to admit it though, I don't much care for blenders with fixed jars/blades. My Oster collection has had all of the blade assemblies replaced (inexpensively I might add), and they work like a charm. I would really hate to have to replace then entire jar and blade for each vintage mixer that I have. That would be a bit pricey! Now, if Oster made one like that......

I have seen these every so often

And if any one wants to go ahead and bid I have a new set of blades you can install. They do come out with a nut driver.
I just have too many blenders right now but this is such a cute Tiki Blender!
