I am curious as to what internet connection speeds y'all have and what you're paying as well.

I just upgraded my internet connection and it is amazing fast.

I just got Comcast Super speed...
WHAT A MAJOR DIFFERENCE !
I don't have to wait for videos and the speed in other
open windows are just as fast.
What a pleasure to use for the first time.
I had Verizion DSL which was not good.
Fios is very good.
But I cant complain about the Comcast system.
I also had CLEAR and the speed was awful.
Here is our main Comcast building in Philly.
And its only 29.99 a month.

Speed?

I would not know what that is. This site works fine. I have FairPoint DSL for 20.99/month (formerly Verizon) through the phone line. Its that or spotty satellite service that is more expensive because there is no Time Warner cable in this area, which is Really expensive. I swear the old AOL dialup I had was faster. I waited less time for the actual connection than how long it takes for all the stupid ads to load before what you want to see can come up. Granted, I have an old Dell and it desperately needs more memory.

We are using Clearnet wireless 4G.We've had it for about two and a half years now.
The voice service Clear offers is worse than terrible. We dumped it after the first 11 months with no improvement. But the Internet portion of their service is just great. For $32.95 per month, including taxes, this is the speed I am getting. Not too shabby. Another reason I love Clear is that I am not paying AT&T those $23.00 per month in ancillary taxes such as 911 fees, Fed Govt Taxes & Fees, etc.

I'm paying $40 for Att Uverse internet only service.  Tried the Tv is was crap.  My plan is 12m down 1.5m up and getting about as good as it gets.  I do a LOT on line and this seems to fit my needs nicely,  would not object to more speed but not more $$.

AT & T

DSL......

30.00 a month, for 1.2 mbps. I don't know if that's expensive, reasonable, or cheap, but I get what I want from it.

No complaints with the service other than the call center in Mumbai, or wherever.

I've have 100Mbit down and 7Mbits up.

It was just given a free speed increase and I'm now getting 127Mbits down and over 8.7Mbits up.

It's UPC cable using EuroDOCSIS 3.0 and fibre to curb.

We get our phone service through it too. It comes with HD TV, a digital video recorder and their on demand tv service.

Can't really complain. They have excellent customer care all based locally, tv service is great, phone service is really cheap and the broadband is faster than I'm paying for with nice low ping times.

We have broadband and phone with Virgin Media (the UK mainland cable company) for around £40 which has speeds of 50Mb download and 5Mb upload. They are doubling our speed soon, so we will have 100Mb download and 10Mb upload for the same price. We don't use their bundled router though because it was rubbish, so we now use an ASUS RT-N56U dual band router.

My service is with Wave, a cable company. They seem to serve selected markets on the west coast. I suspect for WA that Comcast has a much larger service area.

My service is 3 MB down/512 KB up. It appears this is the lowest level one actually go. Actual speeds vary, but when I run tests, I get close to what I'm paying for.

The monthly rate is forty dollars. (It would be thirty if bundled with cable TV.) I cringe a bit at the cost, particularly when I hear of something much cheaper elsewhere. But I need Internet where I live due to job requirements, and my choices are limited to Wave, or DSL with the phone company. I know of no one who likes the phone company, and, besides, their rates were about the same when I got service. Plus they try to lock people in with contracts when running good deals. I got a great starter deal with Wave, and there was no obligation. Customer support has been good, too--in fact, the installation resulted in several unforseen nightmares. But the installers not only showed up about when they were supposed to, but they actually stayed long enough to get all the problems solved well enough so I had basic service that got me through to when all the problems could be fixed.

We just upgraded to Verizon FiOS Quantum at 75 mps. Right now we are at 25 mps and I think it's plenty fast. The Quantum is being programmed on Monday at 3 am. So we will see how fast t will be then. Plus I can have up to 22 devices on it. Now it's just 6.

I have Verizon FiOS and LOVE it, super fast and a very reasonable package price with phone (I still prefer landline when I am at home) and TV. they offer packages usually 99.99/month but often you can find specials for new customers for 89.99 for the first two years. My speed had been 25/15 and I always meet or beat that speed on speedtest.net.

I find it sad that those of us in the US get poorer speeds and pay more than much of the rest of the world -- same with cell service. That's what you get when providers and Gvt. Are in bed together.

poorer speeds and pay more?

What speed and price are people paying elsewhere? I am very happy with my speed and the price for all three seems to be pretty good... Or am I missing something?

y city is in planning stages for doing its own cable and broad band wit fiver optics.  Will have 10o mbps up and 50 down at about $30.00 month they are saying.  Cox has kept going up up.

Maybe the difference is where there is competition... since Verizon brought out its FiOS, where it is available they and the cable company (and to a lesser extent satellite) are always offering deals on speed and price to get you to switch/stay... Every day my (paper) mailbox and the tv are blanketed with the promotions...
