Hello,
Most of you know I picked up my wonderful Frigidaire washer from Oregon last weekend. It was a whirlwind trip and unfortunately I didn't get to see Patrick, apparently Beaverton is almost to Washington, next time I won't bock at the estimates from google maps. But at any rate I made it home, and the machine looks great!
I will take some pics and post them, but there is so much going on right now that believe it or not I haven't tried it out. I did notice that there is a sticker on the back that says something about securing the mechanism before transportation. Is that something I should have worried about? Needless to say I was unbelievably careful moving the machine and had it wrapped like a pig in a blanket for the enture 1100 mile ride home!
I wanted to ask tho, a member in Tennessee has the matching dryer for sale, but shipping is like 600 bucks! (I checked craters and freighters, anyone had experience with other shipping vendors?) I just thought I'd ask but is anyone in the midwest planning a west coast trip =-)
I'm sure I will be asking lots of questions when i hook up the frigidaire, honestly I just can't stop just staring at it, and there is a delightful story behind it. It was in the same basement since 1954, and its owner is still alive. I will share that story with the pics after I catch up on the stuff i didn't do this weekend =) I want to make sure I don't do anything wrong when I hook up that beauty!
