Yes and no lol....

It is but dosent appear to be badged as such??- It must, however be one of the earliest Philips Whirlpool branded models!

Found advert

I have found an original advert for a Phillips from that period. I will try and scan and sent later today. It was priced at £320 and the year was about 85 I think.

Asea

If you wanted a QUALITY machine in the 80s/early90s you had one of these(Miele wasnt very widely availiable AFAIK).
The name changed in 1990ish to Asko/Asea and then to Asko. They kinda disappeared in the late 90s until being brought by MERLONI!!! bout 4-5 years ago.
There were plans to take Servis upmarket using Asko machines but it didnt happen :(.

HOWEVER.

If you want one you can- albiet with a Maytag badge!!!!

servis asko

Just to add to the Servis/Asko tie up, There are Servis badged Asko's about in both washers and dryers as they were on sale here not long ago. Exactly as the current model ASKO in silver with the lcd displays but with Servis made in Sweden on the drawer, the only difference was the fact the drop down door was not added. I really wanted one but they were about £600 plus VAT and mr first direct wouldn'd have been happy if i'd bought em. lol Somehow a Maytag badge doesn't get me excited, i'd have to change the powder drawer for another name.

ta for the pic...

yeah, i've been posting recently on and off of the vinatge section about my 'dream machine' the series 90 phillips, the elite 949 looks like the one i used to own, but i found that one (see link) on ebay last night - was considering buying it! it looks like a slighty more basic model perhaps without the spins speed selector and temperature control

Phillips 927

Stratus, on my other thread (Advertising) on the Imperial side there is a pic also of the more basic AWB 927 if you're interested.

In regards to Asko, I don't have a pic of the Servis machine but this from their brochure. I bought one for my mother in 1994 (well me really). It was great but the top did rattle a bit. Unfortunately, it lasted a week then blew up. We changed it for a Bauknecht, which was actually very good and my mother preferred the old fashioned dials.
