Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Standard capacity Maytag, and from my experience they seem to wash and rinse better than the deep tub Maytag washer for some reason. Definitely will be worth it, and I have a matching DE306 HOH but I need to wired it all back up and I have to fix a chip on the top left corner of the Porcelain top.

I'm pretty sure...

That's a 208
That's the same model of MAYTAG I started my vintage automatic washer buying with. Mine was an unshaded Harvest Gold from I believe 1978?

I don't remember for how long I had the 208 before my hunt for a 608 started.
:o)

'fraid that it's not yet....

I need plumbing in order for her to get the necessary hot and cold, but here's the ideal installation area, (I can at least provide a drain, for what I "thought" was an awfully fancy drain-hose--yes, what IS a vacuum cleaner hide doing there? Is THAT being used for draining?)...

And if only there's a way to keep out the water notoriously invading the basement every time we get such heavy rain...

Electrically-wise, do I shut off the breaker going to this light, to convert the box next to it into an outlet (providing the cord will reach) or should I do away with that light socket, and string up a lamp, as I did for the rest of my laundry room lighting, the original socket there, arcs and flickers...?

I would be otherwise fraught with frequently switching washers when I go from vintage and tiny tub, and my bigger-newer, and besides on a Maytag, relatively old like this one, I've got PLE... (Pilot-light envy--LOL!)
