take the cabinet off one machine and transfer it to another, just to get the other working? I bought that 1961 Kenmore set back in July and haven't been able to get to it yet. I love the 1960 set, but have considered just transfering cases. Opions, please!

That's a good question

I don't think we have one single machine in the house, except for the '59 thumper (and she's PANK!) which isn't the happy recipient of donor organs from those who have walked the rainbow bridge to Betty Furness land in the sky.

So to speak.

If you can't save what's in the spender cabinet and you can't fix the recipient cabinet, than do it to it and rejoice you had a spare!

Just my two cents, for what they're worth...we have six sunbeam toasters out in the garage waiting to give their lives that the two working ones might live another 50 years (at least).

I've done this many times, a 1961 model is a rare machine for what ever reason I don't know. Its the first year of the squared off cabinet, transmission to baseplate braces and more modern belt drive components. Do you have any pictures of your '61?
