I just used some for the 1st time on my Frig 1-18.

Many recommendations here in archives and on car restorer forums.

Go bad after you open the can once.

It seemed to be a light cover. not thick like rustoleum. But the coating certainly seems tough now that it's dry.

It is runnier than you'd think.
Doesn't stink so much, just mineral spirit smell, not acetonish.
Doesn't need more cleanup than alcohol or mineral spirits. My brush is fine after multiple uses. My hands aren't stained
Will indeed lock up a jar lid. I used a dipper and got 4 oz out and into a baby food jar. Then cleaned the can and resealed the lid - so far so good. The stuf in the jar is still ok, and I just gently pry off the steel lid on the jar to use it.

Good luck. It certainly seems better than those old rust activator things from the 80s.

Dryer element

Is the dryer element broken in one place or rotten clear thru?

It is rumored that one can twist, then using a piece of carbon and a 12V battery, weld the twisted strands back together. Thus repairing the nichrome wire section...
