Is Sears discontinuing its detergents?

Has anyone heard anything about Sears discontinuing its detergents? I saw something about this on another site and began snooping around. The Sears website no longer has a Detergents and Cleansers link on its Washers and Dryers page. A search on the word detergents brought up a shorter list of products than usual. The Ultra Plus With Oxi Clean powder in the bucket is on sale for $13.88, and the Ultra Plus With Fabric Softener powder in the bucket is on sale for $18.88. Both sale prices are good through October 4. The Ultra Plus Stain Fighting Formula powder in the bucket is not listed at all anymore. The sale prices are lower than usual, and the long duration of the sale is not the norm for Sears, which leads me to think that Sears is phasing out its detergents. Plus, the absence of the Stain Fighting Formula powder in the bucket makes me wonder (perhaps that is now sold out and Sears is trying to get rid of the others?). Also, the last time I was in my local Sears, I noticed that there were no detergents in the paint department anymore and nothing in the appliance department either.

Is this the end of Sears detergents? Anyone else know anything about it?

I am not sure if Sears is dicontinuing their detergent line up. I am kind of really wondering if, maybe Sears is going to be discontinued, It was true that Kenmores were in more american homes than any other brand. I think because of their in house credit plan. I think there biggest holdings are in real estate ( The Sears Stores plus k-mart and they LAND), they are sitting on. Lawd even Ms Stewart jumped ship to Macy's. IIRC it was the holiday season when Mont.Wards threw in the towel. Im thinking i need to see what bloomberg thinks about Sears now days, Since the old days are gone.

The Montogemery Ward of today is different. The original company went bye-bye, and the rights to use the name were bought by a third party. (Yes, this is sort of nit-picky.)

Asked the clerk is the detergent was being phased out....she had no clue.
