I just found a beautiful KitchenAid dishwasher, a KUDS23. It's immaculate! It was hardly used, even the motor looks brand new! I have always loved the KitchenAid by Hobart dishwashers, but this one was made a couple years after Whirlpool took over. Does anyone know if they still used the same quality parts for these machines? I just installed it and haven't ran a load in it yet, but it's so quiet compared to the Superba's I used to have. You can barely tell it's on! And that's one reason I'm a little skeptical haha. What are your opinions?

There's probably more quality there than if you took all the dishwashers at your local Best Buy and put them together!  Beautiful machine, I wish it was mine!

Oh yes! The quality for the most part will be the same. It has a hodge-podge pump, the hybrid of the KD-21 series and the Whirlpool Power Clean. Very strong pump, and works very very well. You should love this machine for many many more years.

Hey Nick!

The KD-23 series has a hodge podge of the Power Clean and the KA pump from the 21. The sediment chamber on the Power Clean is sealed, but on the KD-23s its open at the top with a micromesh filter. This takes the best parts of the Power Clean and the best parts of the KD-21/22s pumps. Whirlpool gained access to this intelectual property after they bought KA. This would also set forward the future plans for the best iteration of the Power Clean.
