Is this a Whirlpool made Kitchenaid Superba or Hobart?

I found two dishwashers that I want I just can't decide which one.
The Kitchenaid is a superba that is in mint shape they only used it about 5 times a year.
I am not sure of the year or the Model of it..
I also found this very nice Maytag Jetclean E.Q. plus dishwasher .
I don't know which would clean better. My Mom had a Maytag just like it and it was a killer dishwasher..
I was wondering if that K-aid is a Hobart one or Whirlpool one?
The one I had the heater was different, it was larger and it did not stop to heat or something like that, I just can't recall right now.
Which would clean better?

Interior looks

like a Hobart machine. The difference in the motor and pump from a Hobart and Whirlpool is that the motor in a Hobart did not reverse to drain. It had a choke valve actuated via a solenoid, so if it has that, it's a Hobart. When the timer is in the wash or rinse mode, the valve is closed to retain the water in the tub. To drain, the valve opens up to allow it to drain. When the machine starts on a Hobart, the motor runs from the start, with the sump dry while filling. A Whirlpool static fills. Hope this helps.

I have this exact dishwasher in the house I bought. The owner was a single woman that lived here for 30 years. I will have been here 3 years. It's fabulous. heats the water and cleans everything spotless. I think it is a 1985 model. She kept all the receipts and repairs. There are no repairs on the dishwasher. I find using powdered cascade is better as it washes in about 45 minutes.

Whrlpool Built Kitchenaid

Wes, the machine in question is a KUDS-23 Superba machine based on Hobart design but built by Whirlpool. It has the PowerClean style pump and is an excellent cleaning machine. It has the removable dish holder in the lower rack on the left side so large pots, pans or bowls can be placed on a plain flat rack surface.

I know that the lower level machines would delay the wash until it hit a target temperature but not 100% sure if the Superba did the same in the main wash. John L or others can confirm that for you.

Regarding the reversing motors.. All KA machines starting with the 21 series had the reversing motors on them. The solenoid drain valves were used thru the 20 series. There were some 20 series that were equipped with reversing motors as well but not very common.

No 2nd thought on it - TAKE THE KA!

Yes that ka does hold main wash to 140 or 145f. -can set your water heater lower and the dishes will wash longer while the water heats providing even better wash results. As STEVET said, Both of those units provide excellent filtration but id still choose the powerclean wash system. Overall better built machine in my book.

Well the KA is certainly built heavier, and I love mine...but the Maytag with those tiny little jets will clean rust off a trailer hitch.  My Maytag will out wash my Kitchenaid easily.
