Ok.. Adams friend Ashely is moving out of her apartment and into a new condo.. The complex will be gutting the apartment and redoing the kitchen and such. But her apt. has this GE dishwasher..Its a potscrubber 600 with temp sensor.. It has the wood looking consoule, but it looks like a newer mid 90's thing... If it worth trying to keep, i will go speak to managment and see if i can get it..

If its not leaking or doesn't have any problems--sounds like the price is right I would go for it.Like if the apartment manager would give it to you instead of throwing it out.I wouldn't want to throw out a good machine!

That's my dishwasher (no woodtone trim on mine, though)....

Like me....still going strong, after all these years.

my parents have the same machine

My mom and dad have the same machine except instead of woodgrain their's is black. It cleans very well but is noisy. They've had it since 1989 and at about seven years they replaced the pump assembly (not a cheap job). They didn't tell me until it was all done--I would have advised getting a new machine. I've never liked the way they load--can't hardly get anything in the lower rack.

Be careful and do some research...

That may be one of the dishwashers that was recalled for control panel fires. I believe the heater switch (or its wiring) failed in time.
Not sure, but you may want to get the model #, serial # and check with GE before proceeding.

agree with Rex

if it's working and free and you need one - yes. I'd check on the panel fire issue like Paul said. We had one when we were Innkeepers in the early 90's. That thing ran twice daily and cleaned pretty well but loading flexibility was not great. Fast cycle and hot drying tooo! Robert

NO this one is not one of the fire ones... Those had rocker switchs if i recall... One place i lived had one and it worked when i moved in, but was repalced by a free BOL GE provided by ge
