When you are spin rinsing, filtered water is a priority. The UNIMAC machines with the center spin-rinser tub do not turn out nice looking laundry if the water filter cartridge is missing. Whereas deep rinsing in a tub can be done with less than perfectly filtered water, spin rinsing forces the water through the items in the load and they will act as the filter for any impurities present.
