GREAT! I'can't explain none of my fellings now with any words...SIMPLY GREAT!

This very amazing Italian group of friends (we would call it "cerchia di amici") was born after the idea of me to create a blog online to share my very strong love for washer's world.

I cannot imagine that after nearly 10 years I've been arriving on Automaticwasher.org all this would ever been happned!

BLAST I couldn't have been there but honestly THANKS ALL GUYS! I'm proud of you...

I believe we bought the Miele around 1995 maybe 1994 I just can't remember exactly now. It didn't have the cutlery rack.
The garbage compactor uses an electric ram to crush your garbage to about 1/4 the size. The front of the cabinet slides out open and you can put in either plastic or heavy paper bags inside that are especially designed for the machine. Very handy when you don't have garbage pickup at your house and need to take everything to the dump yourself.

Love the cuttlery Rack

Hi Greg,

We've got the G2220 model and love the cuttlery rack.

We find it slightly slower to load (Although you get quick at dropping the pieces in place) but if you group like items with like, it takes 20 seconds to unload. You just scoop up a handful of forks and drop them in the drawer.

The dishwasher that Marco has, (At least in AU) has a split cuttlery tray, so you can remove 1/3 and gain an extra 5cm of height in 1/3 of the upper rack. The model we have, has a solid tray. With careful loading we get most things in the upper rack.

The only accessory I've contemplated, is the large plate insert for the bottom basket. The standard basket holds plates up to 31cm with the basket in the upper position. The large plate insert takes the maximum size up to 35cm without compromising space in the upper basket. I usually leave the upper basket in the middle position, which gives me 29cm in the bottom and 21cm in the top. This seems to hold most things that it needs to. If I'm ever baking plenty and need the extra room up top, I just remove the cuttlery tray.

The AEG Clara, is that actually a Zanussi? I never saw that model.

Hi Ross, yes Florence is a beautiful place to visit but not to live!!! believe me. We must live in respect of things that are many many centuries old and that causes abvious limitations. Constant traffic crowd is only one not to mention pollution, the parking is a simple nightmare. You could pay just around 20 dollars to park your car for eight hours(if you find a place which is not so easy at all...). We have offices in historical buildings which are very very uneasy to reach especially for older or impaired people. I do often have to reach offices at fourth or fifth floor of historical buildings having no elevators... argh!
I never saw a garbage compactor. Sure it would be of great utility here too. I once saw a strange thing placed under the sink. It was operated via a switch placed on the front of the kitchen cabinet. My friend told me it is used to chop soft food residues that are expelled via the drain. A very clever machine!
My G 1830 diswasher has a split cutlery tray. If you need more room to place long stem glasses then you can remove one third of the cutlery tray. It also has a separated basket which can be inserted in the upper basket to hold baby bottles or parts of the Miele coffee maker. I never used it.
The Aeg Clara is a pure Zanussi machine. Almost everything except the drum and the cabinet are plastic. It's not older than eight years but very complicate to disassemble!
I didn't start to restore the G 45 mainly because I don't know where to find a correct power supply for it. I believe it runs on 380V three phases only.

This is the picture of a very strange machine I own. It's a Novamatic Fust but it seems actually made by Eudora in Switzerland. It's really tiny, it seems a toy washer but it has many wash options and it washes really very well.

It's a T 382 i found years ago in the curb. It should be almost 20 years old now.

The G45 is a multiple voltage machine, it was designed to run on three phase 380V, three phase 220V and single phase 220V, so you should be able to use it. I sold mine to somebody in Frankfurt who restored it and uses it now as an every day machine. Here's a picture of the G45 in his kitchen.

Wonderful! A g 45 in working order!!! Do you have any idea where to find the schematic to modify the circuitry to fit our 220v single phase power supply?

No, I'm sorry, I don't know about that. Perhaps you could contact Miele, it's possible that they still have documents for these machines.

Hi Marco. The garbage disposer is very common here. It is attached to the sink drain. Put food in it, run the water, and turn the disposer on. It will liquify the food waste so it can flow down the drain into the sewer. Almost everyone here in Arizona has one. It was the same when I lived in California.
But I am originally from New York City, born there in 1952. I first moved to Palm Springs, California in 1997 and then to Tucson, Arizona in 2005.
As for New York City, we said the same thing. It is a nice place to visit but you would not want to live there. A lot of traffic and very congested. Tucson is getting congested with 1 million people and very few highways. Getting around town is all local streets, but I do like it here.
In 1972, I did the grand tour of Italy: Milan, Venice, Pisa, Florence, Rome, Sorrento/Capri, and finally Stresa.
I went to Germany alot because I worked for Deutsche Lufthansa for 26 years in New York.
Sure hope some of the Italian contingent will someday get to a Tucson Wash In. I hope we will do them every year.
