It's is just that.....
...Brian, absolutely incredible that a machine like that with so few known to be in existence could show up in brand new, never used condition. Oh, and I mustn't forget the new Hamilton dryer. I'm so fortunate in that I could be a part of such an unbelievable experience.
Even tho' the Frogeye completes my collection of Kenmores from the earliest being the "bolt down" thru the 50's and into the 60's (and I told myself I was finished and could relax) I'm still haulin' them home like mad. I need to post my coppertone early 60's GE V12s, my later LKs, etc. ((--:: and get more video posted.
Jeff, I feel the same way you do about the 66. When I hauled it home, it was to be used for parts to keep my old 50s Kenmores humming. Well, after cleaning it up and doing a load, well, it's now hooked up and part of the crew.
James, thanks so much for sharing that incredible story of your neighbors late 60s Kenmore. What wonderful memories of old machines from our pasts we have locked away. They are wonderful to bring out and replay every now and then. Glad I could be a small part of that.
Rick, the 57 LK set is just great. Just washed a load in it last Saturday. (I try to rotate all the machines but it is hard) Hopefully this year I'll get around to doing a restore on the 57 80 series I have. It's just one level down from the LK and looks almost identicfal to the 57 LK.
And Kevin, by all means, it would be great to have you out to look at the collection sometime. This little cabin I live in is begining to look like all washers. I mean they are overflowing on almost all sides and then some. ((--:: I must stop this insanity!
Oh, which reminds me- Smitty, I'm glad you like the vids and the 66. BTW, the green geek with the glasses on in one of the pix-I haven't the slightest idea of who he is-Must have been hiking or riding his horse and just stopped by and climbed up in the truck.
