I remember the 57 Frigidaire Super my folks had (and that I learned how to cook on) had a fuse panel under the oven, accessible only when the storage drawer was fully removed.  What a delight that was to get to.... LOL

Speaking of dirt, here's the stove after the first pass.  Note to self: Easy-Off Max (the low fume stuff) just doesn't work as well as the stuff you need to wear a gas mask when using.   I've been a landlord, so I have seen worse...

One amazing thing: the range top and its front and side edges have no chips or flakes. That is most unusual to see in a range of this vintage!  

Off to do some parts shopping this weekend, hopefully a new bake element will be found.
