I just returned to Illinois this evening from the Tucson Wash In! It seems like such a let down now that it is all over! How the time can go so quickly is hard to understand. I want to thank Roger, Ross, and Nate for hosting such a fantastic event! I had such a fun time! I enjoyed so much being able to help out in a small way. It is always so much more fun doing things like this when there are others around. Roger made the most delicious lasagna rolls for our dinner on Friday night. Steve, thanks so much for letting me assist you and Eric in the kitchen at Ross's we had so much fun. I have some great new recipes to try out now thanks to you and Roger! I know that Mike already mentioned the feeling of closeness to each other at this event and he was sure right. As I have often said we are all "truly blessed" to have found each other!! It was great to meet so many new friends as well. This wonderful group just keeps growing and getting better all of the time. Thanks for the memories one and all!

Terry

*SIGH*

It is over for now but the great memories of great people stay forever!

Terry, your guidance and co-piloting in Ross' kitchen were an amazingly fantastic learning experience and was hugely fun. I LOVED working with you! I relished seeing you turn a labor into a labor of love!

All I can say is I feel like I have known everyone at the wash-in all my life. What an awesome feeling!

Hi Terry. Glad you arrived home safe. Thank you for all your help at my house and for making the day such a success.
Yes, we are all blessed to have such a wonderful washing machine family.

Ross

The worst part about a wash-in is when it's over. I was so sad when it was time to go home from the Texas Wash-in. All that's left is the memories and the videos now.

Some of the BEST times of my life were spent at wash-ins and coaster club events. There I find kindred spirits. Who else in the world would hang out in a laundry room, wash clothes, and listen to a tiny record player? Not many.

Jim it was so good to meet you as well. Just wish that you could have joined us on Friday and Sunday as well. I would have loved to have had more time to visit with you. I hope that whenever and wherever the next wash-in is you will be able to attend. Steve it was so much fun being with you in the kitchen I learned some new tricks that is for sure! (Now lets let them all run with that one)LOL Terry

Shocker

I can't believe Toggle isn't posting a thousand pictures--unless I missed them.

Let's go, Dude; we're counting on you.

Hi Terry,

It was great meeting up with you, Steve, Scott, Roger, & Ross again, especially since it has been a little over 9 months since the Convention in June and I didn't get to talk with any of y'all as much as I would have liked in Omaha. Even better was meeting everyone else for the first time!! Like I've reiterated a million times before, the AZ wash-in was an absolute success and a great time was had by all!! That spinach lasagna was the best I've had...not to mention the delicious desserts afterwards!! Even though I have to admit it was difficult for me to pry myself away from the washers to eat!! The Greek food on Sunday was absolutely delicious; especially that spanakopita and lemon-saturated turkey breast, and the Sunday breakfast provided the energy needed to get to the airport, LOL!!

It went by way too fast for me, and I'm looking forward to another wash-in in the near future! Perhaps it may be a Texas wash-in...y'all aren't just welcome, but expected to attend! ;-)

a fun youngin'

Westy

Had no idea you were so young. Imagine all the years you have ahead of you, at least seventy, in the brotherthood and sisterhood of washing machines. You'll outlive us all.

Your gigantic verbal description of the event was worth thirty pictures. I loved it. Like you, for me, it's all about turnover. What's Blackstone's agitation like. Are there any pics.

My best to all you lucky Tusconers

MIkey

Honey.... not only are there pics, THERE ARE VIDEOS.
But give a girl a chance!

Just got home today from Los Angeles, California and will be feverishly posting videos tomorrow night, Thurdsay.

(May I ask our hosts [or you Austin] to send me a list of approximate year of *birth* of each machine so that I can label my videos accordingly?) Thanks!

(And to our sweet sweet, kind loving and fabulous Terry, remember- I don't share my tricks with just anybody!)

Hi MickeyD.....a resident of Tucson is referred to as a
"tucsonan".....but that is ok.....i personally prefer to be politically incorrect myself.

Ross

Pics anyone?

I've been trying to get Austin to post pics ever since we got home!!! I'm more impatient than someone waiting for a load to spin in a Westinghouse combo!!

So ok...who's going to be the first to post? IIRC there aren't any incriminating pics, are there? ;-)

Venus - tap, tap, tap......sigh

Hold your @$$!!

Alas, I arrived very late Friday night and did not get any RELLY GOOD incriminating pics. (damn....@#$%^&*)

Although some of the conversations that go along with the videos I have recorded are quite interesting..........
