It's Raining Frigidaire's Part 1

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Great pictures and find guys. Thanks for sharing! I love the 1960 WCI-60 model, it’s such a beautiful design. That model was my second Frigidaire washer find (about 9 years ago) and I so excited to have found it! I learned what it meant to have bad spin bearings on that machine and how satisfying it was to learn how to replace them and make the machine nearly silent. Ahhh memories.

I never ever thought I would ever see machines like this before I joined the club, not to mention have them in my home.My memories of Frigidaire began with the 1965 set, so anything prior to this was all new to me when I joined this group. My wish list is pretty complete now, although never say "never." I think my farewell to collecting mirrors Cher's farewell tour, it is going to take a while, and I leave the option open to "go back on the road" while still in retirement!!!!

Congratulations guys, what wonderful machines. It looks like it will be another great year for building collections. Have fun playing and thanks so much for sharing with us. Terry

And Here Comes A Hurricane

Well Scott & Jimmy, thanks for the kind words and I feel the same way. It IS nice to trade back and forth. And just as the two of you and Glenn & Gus from Philly helped me out by taking some goodies, I get a call to pick up the following set.

Wow!!! Don, Rich, Jimmy, I gotta hand it to ya'll for having all those great old Frigidaires!!! Excellent work!

The '65 Rollermatic has to be my favorite, with the separate timer dial!

This Area Is Frigidaire Heaven

Austin,

I get calls for Frigidaires all the time. 90% are 1-18s though. The one recycler friend Jimmy and I visited last Fall had 8 washers and 4 dryers for us. Of course we didn't take any of them. Jimmy did get a mid 60s Coppertone rollermatic from him.

Rich

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone! Wow Rich, You keep hitting the jackpot!!! Is the 65 an Imperial or custom deluxe? Looks familiar to me that way. Pretty green set as well, how do these all run? Thanks again---did you call me Scott in an earlier post? LOL, Don
