Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Someone in one of the local car clubs had a great setup: a '59 Caddy four door hardtop and an Isetta, painted in matching colors. The Isetta fit on a custom trailer (which IIRC used '59 Caddy taillights), again painted to match. When towed behind the Caddy it was really funny, rather like a large yacht with a small dinghy.

what a nice look!

Are the Euro smart cars significantly different than the North American counterparts?

Before I bought my Toyota Yaris, I looked at them; they called for premium gasoline in the specs I read, and the mileage was about 36 miles to the US gallon, or about 15 kilometers per litre. They were also quite expensive.

But having seen some in the UK, I think they are different there than here, so that may be true Europe wide.

In any case, this is a gorgeous one :) I think you're gonna love it!

I'd love to have a classic car next to my Smart, but at the moment I can't afford that.

I don't think there are many differences between the European and the North American version. The only thing I noticed so far is a different selector for the transmission. The North American version has one that looks like a selector for a normal automatic transmission. The European version has the typical Smart selector.

Smarts can look very different though because there are so many styling possibilities. Latest news is a white "tridion" as the cage is called. Mine is silver, cheaper models have a black one.

Overhere Smart is rather pricey too. I guess having something unique comes with a price.

The first generation 2006 and earlier North American models (I don't know if it was sold in the US but it was sold here in Canada) had a few differences with the European models. They had side markers added on the rear quarters and larger ones at the front with an amber reflector. They also had mud flaps in front of the rear wheels which were quite fragile. My friend who has one got stuck in my driveway the first time it saw snow (barely 2 inches of snow!), we had to use his tow hook to get the car out and when he went back home, he lost one of it's mud flaps on the highway!
