I’ve been a member of AW.org for a year now!
I can’t believe it’s a year already!
I would simply like to say this: thank you to all of you.
I really do appreciate, every day, being friends with you all.
Like all of you here, I’ve had a fascination with anything appliance-related – anything with a plug! hehe
– since I was little, and I was, and still am, so excited when I found AW.org!
I found Nick Wilson on YouTube first with his videos just a day or so before I joined AW.org, and he suggested I joined.
And we became friends.
I did join, and I very quickly received an e-mail from a certain person called Jonathan Scatliffe… ;-) And we became friends.
And then, shortly after that, some person called aquarius1984 – I didn’t know what his name was at first! hehe
– responded to one of my messages, so I thought I’d say hello to him via e-mail, especially after part of his e-mail address was missing (hehe
), so I thought he might want to know.
And then we became friends.
And then a certain person from Australia called Matt added me to his MSN contacts list.
And we became friends.
And there were more over time… and we became friends – Seamus, Dan, Darren, Richard, Kirk, Saj, Mike, Steve and more…
This is not simply centred around appliances, and I shouldn’t need to say this, but I get on so well with you guys anyway, and I do know you’ll tell me off for giving the impression that I’m worrying again – I’m not
– but I’m very grateful for the effort you put into being friends with me.
I know it can’t always be that easy for you because of my health and the irritating problems it throws up, but I know you really do try, and I wouldn’t blame you for cursing under your breath at times.
I know my Mum has said she wouldn’t blame you at times! LOL!
However, trust is very important to me. I don’t lose friends. I don’t get into feuds and I don’t sulk. If I ever do anything wrong, or anything you really don’t like, please do tell me straight away – I’ll never turn nasty or retreat. I’m not always that good at following matters online, so I may get rather ‘lost’ at times even if I seem coherent. 99% of the time, if I make a silly mistake, it’s due to my health and its associated symptoms getting in the way. I’m not perfect at all, but I won’t ever hurt anyone; nor do I want to irritate (and perhaps even by saying all of that you might find it irritating!
).
I always like to make new friends, so if anyone who hasn’t e-mailed me yet or added me to their MSN contacts lists would like to, I’d really look forward to speaking to you.
(My e-mail address can simply be added to your MSN contacts list.)
Finally, thank you to everyone who has spoken to me about my dog Max.
I appreciate deeply your kind words on here and on MSN, and I hope I haven’t upset any of you too much. :-( I know it’s a rather sensitive subject and for many a rather personal one, but I didn’t want to keep it to myself – I was hurting so much, and still am, and I actually wanted to say how proud I was and am of our little dog.
All that’s left to say is I hope we continue to have fun here, and remember: when we don’t agree or feel we my be heading for an argument on here, it’s not life or death – it doesn’t really matter.
We all have the same interest, so let’s all share it!
Take care.
Regards,
Carl
