I've found a house

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Good luck. I can't really make out the brand of the dishwasher, but it looks like it oculd be a 1960s KitchenAid (or a hotpoint).

Justin I wish you and your partner the very best. You will really love being a homeowner!

Keep the clothes line poles up!!!!Good luck!Dishwasher may be a WasteKing Universal.I can't realy tell from the side shot of it.

Those American house prices are really astounding. Here in the Netherlands we would have to pay five to ten times more. I could easily afford my own house in the USA. Here it is an utopia.

Well Theo, not everywhere is so inexpensive, it all depends on the location. You'd probably pay 5 times that much for that same house in and around Seattle for example. Here in my town in Canada it would go for about $150,000 but back in Calgary or Vancouver more like $350-400k, higher in some neighborhoods

well

The house needs some work. If it was all fixed up it would probably be close to $250 to $300k. The house is actually located in Phoenix, AZ. Anyways, we should know in a week if they accept our offer. When we get the place we are going to fix the kitchen up in my vintage pink appliances. The laundry room will look good with my 1963 turquoise lady kenmore washer and dryer. Once its all done, we'll take pictures and post them on here.

I hope

you get the house. Keeping the house as close to original as possible in the look and feel will take it a long way for being a true "vintage" home.

How about wiring and plumbing? Up to date? The place looks great. I hope it all works out in your favor.

Justin, I hope y'all get it. I'm curious to see what the dishwasher is there. The appliances look old enough to be late 1960s.

electrical and plumbing

Fortuneatly for me my b/f works for a construction company and can rewire the house and replumb it as well. This weekend I'll be taking before pics of the house and will post them on here afterwards.

again

the carport which is on the right side of the house. Notice just to the right of the door is a little white box on the side of the house. That is where the milkman would drop off the milk. It goes right into the laundry room.

Great looking

I hope you get it!!! When you go back get a shot of the inside of the dishwasher (please).

Does the milkman still deliver?

Well, that IS a KDS15> I say it's a keeper. I'm sure you, and maybe some help from others here, can get the top rack supports & such fixed and have it in working order. who knows, maybe someone around here even has a pink panel for it. And if you want something else vintage other than the KDS15, I'm sure you will have no problem finding a taker here. That dishwasher was new in like 1964 or 1965, the first KA with the 4-way Hydro-Sweep and Sani-cycle. I would be surprised if you'll find a taker for the late 1960s or early 1970s self-cleaning electric wall oven as well as the what apears to be brushed-chrome coil cooktop.
