A Sears Coldspot, that is. It seems to be about a 1961 model. I can't tell you how minty this thing is. It's not like that Kelvinator from Hell.

So, when I went to pick this up...

There was a maytag dryer on his porch. After a sob story about some mexican that still hasn't picked up the damn dryer, I offered him a couple of bucks for it and threw in in the truck.

Minty again

This dryer is also about as mint as you can possibly imagine. I have no way of trying it out right now.

The Money Shot

If anybody knows what year this dryer is or anything, I'd be happy to hear about it. The lint filter is pretty wild and when I pulled it out, there's a light bulb behind it, so I know the interior lights up. The moulding around the opening is a bit deteriorated. That's the only sign of age I can find.

So, that's it for this weekend's aquisitions

I now find myself with FOUR refrigerators. So if anyone needs one, please let me know. There are two I'll get rid of. One's a 1948-52 GE that's in wonderful condition.

Mike,

How much luckier can you get? That fridge is absolutely awesome. Be careful that Bethann doesn't swipe it from you. That dryer looks like it could have been delivered from the appliance store yesterday. Apparently someone believed in taking care of their things.

Superfinds and in pink no less. I hadn't seen a Coldspot fridge in ages until about a week ago there was a white one sitting at the thrift store I haunt, still in great shape as well, but not as fancy as the one you got. There was no way you were gonna let something with that atomic symbol not go home was there? lol

Nice Coldspot

My parents bought a Sears Coldspot refrigetator and moved it all over the coutry while my dad was in the army. It lasted 35 years before it was flat wore out. Nice dryer too.

I have the same fridg in our garage! It was coppertone and mom had it painted harvest when they built their new home.

I love that atomic symbol stuff

I had a suspicion that the buttons lit up the back panel on the Maytag. I wish I could plug it in!

Beth Ann ain't coming near this thing (the fridge). It's mine!

Some extra Fridges

Lawrence, the first fridge is the one that was in the kitchen when I moved into this place. It's a GE. It's has a large capacity. I'm not sure when it was manufactured. It works great and is very quiet.

An older GE

This next one was in the basement when I moved in. The previous owners said it was their original fridge and that it still works fine. I have never actually plugged it in but would be happy to plug it in and test it if someone was serious about wanting to pick it up.

More pics

The fridge is in better condition than it looks in the pictures. There's no rust or anything at all. Just some stains from spills and stuff that will come right off. This thing will look like new with some Fantastik. If anyone is serious about this fridge, I'll even clean it up and shoot more photos to prove that it will sparkle like new with a little household cleaner.

Last picture

This is the inside.

This is no longer any room for my Tiptoe-A-Matic ironer in my place. So that's up for grabs, too.

If anyone is interested in any of this stuff, please shoot me an email.
