mountains of ironing to do and my diet pill is wearing off.....so it's a good thing I found this GE steam iron with Power Spray. It has been used maybe once or twice at the most. Works beautifully even the spray feature. I am guessing maybe from the middle '60s.

My Mom received that exact same GE iron as a wedding shower gift in Jan. of 1967. That bay has a great feel to it. It did weekly duty for over 25 yrs. They don't make 'em like that anymore, sad to say.

This is very similar to the surge-of-steam version I scored a couple of weeks ago. You will enjoy the heck out of that iron- it has the heft needed to make the work go faster.

I envy you all those original packaging materials, manual, and hang-tag.

Roger, that is one beautiful iron!!! I just love the power spray feature. I wonder why they did away with it and now even today no iron to my knowledge has this feature.

Those were great irons, made back when they had some weight to them. The new light ones aren't as good.

Very nice iron and that cloth covered cord is so superior to the vinyl cords that catch and drag the edges of what you are ironing.
