By buying these LOL!!!!!!

Im getting a little bit bored, but not too much of slipping into bed with the same scent on it, and I cant wait forever for Comfort to bring out anytghing like Country Garden or other herbal scented softener SO I decided to give Tesco Meadow Fresh a whirl!

Its still the old Geranium and Cedarwood Scent but re named in line with the other Tesco Softeners to keep a similar name structure, Blue is now Summer Fresh, Purple Sleep Easy etc etc

I think this is in case the suppliers change the formulation and it saves any particular case of Trades Descriptions complaints etc etc, what is the world coming to?

Anyhoo Im due for a bedding change and I will give it a good old dose of this as a change.....

The Value softener has a very weak vintage smell that has intrigued me for quite a while now so Im going to give it a whirl in one of my Hot whites wash on T Shirts and the abundance of white shirts ive been wearing lately.

Failing that I will use it as a suds killer for when I need it................ im hankering after some Ariel Powder for some reason I dont know of although I know it is useless Id like to give the powder a try in the water here to see how it performs and ill need a sudz killer when I get some.

Not sure if you guys have seen the latest facts and figures published from last year as to Supermarket Sales in the UK and this is what was mentioned in the laundry sector.

Off the top of my head........

Quelle Surprise Persil is Number 1!!!!! £85Million
Shows it works better than Ariel and the nation trusts it immensely.

Bold £80Million
WTF!!!!! Do all the Chavs in the UK really have £80Million to put together?????? Just wait til they find this figure out and they will be on Asda Smartprice Bio quicker than S*** off a shovel in order to send some of this sum to the tills of JD Sports.

Comfort £60 Million
YAYYYY the best selling Softener - Lenor didnt even get into the top 5 LOL

Daz £55 Million

I stand corrected the Chavs actually have £135 Million to put together although it a possibilty some cant read and confuse the word Daz with Bold. PMSL

and finally by no surprise to me.....

Ariel staggers in at sales of £50 Million
no doubt matching sales rates of Benadryl and Piriton, Thin Bleach to restore dishcloth whiteness, and household water rates to get that clear rinse.

Will inform you of the Value Softener Performance and its scent after dilution.

All the Best Guys, happy new year!

Reports Back

The Green Softener was a great success, Its runny but nos as runny as Lenor and certainly smelt great.
Although I did use 5 Capfuls to ensure a good scent after tumble drying.

Perhaps though it is testimony to Comforts quality that after only dosing a capful of regular or 2 caps of concentrated my washing smells great for days after.

The Value on the other hand is definitely one to keep in a suds killer only. The scent was disgusting and had tones of regular/normal scent Pledge (brown tin) after I took the washing out the machine. Although it is good at softening.

Why do you ...

Why do you assume that both Bold and Daz are only bought by chavs? I have for the past few months been using both Daz and Bold on mine and families laundry and found that they both perform brilliantly on laundry. I have many friends who are large fans of Daz and Bold and are far from being Chavs; my sister’s boyfriend who does have somewhat chavvy tendencies uses only Persil biological powder and Comfort blue softener. This is in no way meant as a flare against you, and if this is offending you, I want you to know that it was not meant to.

It just really annoys me when people label certain products and brands to certain social groups. It is immature to do so. Bold, Daz and Ariel laundry detergents do what they are supposed to do, they clean the laundry! I cannot see how you can slate Ariel so much, it cleans effectively and does not take forever to rinse out. When using 1 and a half scoops of Ariel biological powder in my Hoover washing machine, it is clearly rinsed out on the third and final rinse. If you have difficulty rinsing out detergents such as Ariel I’m thinking that the problem lies in your Hotpoint. Ariel cleans just as well as Persil in my experience; it whitens well and doesn’t get too sudsy. I find your approach to any detergent other than Persil rather narrow minded and think that it is silly the way that you rave on about such products. If you don’t like it you tell people once and then leave it, don’t constantly bring it back up. Different products work differently for different people and its dependent on the washer and your local water hardness, and what might work for you won't necessarily work for others and vice versa

And in regards to the Tesco branded softener, I find it to soften really well and leaves a pleasant fragrance with just 1 cap, why on earth would anyone need 5 caps of softener in one wash that is just plain wasteful.

Anyhow, my rant is now over, I shall now leave all in peace.
Sorry if any of this offends you, I just felt the unusual need to get my opinions across.

Dan
