James Mitchell, (Palmer Cortlandt), of "All my Children" dies at 89

Very sad news for fans of "All My Children".

James Mitchell, who played Palmer Cortlandt, for 31 years, has died. The actor, who started his career as a dancer and became a Broadway star, passed away in Los Angeles on January 22, 2010. He is survived by his partner of many years, Albert Wolsky.

What a shame. Over the years, I watch the show once in awhile. Soaps put me to sleep for a nap on winter days. He was a great character on the show. And how he ever wound up with Opal, My oh My.
I had no idea he was family. Eddie.
