Hey, guys and gals:
My employer, JCPenney, is having another Friends and Family sale in August where you can shop as if you are an employee of JCPenney. This event is unusual this time in that it's on August 9th for in store and catalog but August 9th and 10th for JCP.com purchases.
If you're not already on my notify list and would be interested in using this coupon, click on the link below, go to the site and print out the coupon. If you are on my notify list, you should have already received your notice. If not, please email me and I'll send another.
For those of you who are already JCPenney shoppers, we thank you for trusting us with your hard earned money. For those of you who haven't visited JCPenney in a while, stop in and see what we have to offer. After all, at JCpenney we know you have a choice in where you shop and we're honored you've chosen us.

Roger,

Thanks for giving us this valuable information. It apparent that you really like working for JC Penney.

There is a new JCP @ 33rd and sixth in Manhattan.

Oh Launderess, yoo-hoo where would it be located? Is that the mall next to Macy's? Is it taking over K-mart's (Target's?) space in Penn(sylvania) station?

The JC Penny on 33rd street opened where Gimbel's used to be. (I miss Gimbel's, but I digress.) Gimbel's morphed into Manhattan Mall, which was anchored by A&S and then by Stern's. When Stern's closed, the mall was reconfigured and became much smaller. JC Penny occupies the lower levels of the mall.

Thanks Mike.

I used to work in The Empire State Buidlng (near the 80th floor) and just east of the said stores Have not been to the area in many, many moons!

Where in New Jersey are you located close enough for a PATH Train? A bus? Further from NYC?

:-)

Hi Steve,

I'm in Hoboken. I've been here all of my life, so the City has literally always been part of my life. In my younger days, we went there with my mom. (Don't tell anyone, but my friends and I started sneaking into the City when we were 10 years old. We took the PATH trains, because everyone that my parents knew took the bus.) The Village, especially Washington Square Park, and especially when you're 10 and on an illicit excursion, was a magical place during the 60's. (The Village is still one of my favorite places in the City.)

Even though I've always worked in Jersey, I think nothing of going into the City. I sometimes go back and forth several times a day. My internist and my dermatologist are both in the City. I go shopping there. (IMHO, the K-Mart on Astor Place is nicer then the one in Penn Station.) I love the Whole Foods on both Union Square and in the Time Warner Building. I also like the Fairway on Broadway and 74th Street. I used to go to Circuit City on Union Square. If I need a greeting card, I head into the City, on my way home from work, and then head for home. I go to the movies in the City.

Depending on my mood, the time of day/day of the week, and my ultimate destination -- I either take the bus into the Port Authority or a PATH train or sometimes even the ferry. (I would never think of taking the bus into the City on a Friday night during the rush hour.) If I'm coming for work, I'll take a New Jersey Transit train into Penn Station. I sometimes take the one form of transportation into the City and then take something else home. (Yesterday, I took a PATH train into the City and come home on the bus.)

KEWL!

I've been to the Paviona mall in NJ during my lunch-break while working in Manhattan (New York City for our internationl friends) to get a New Jersey (State) lottery ticket.

Would you believe I lived in NYC and worked in Secaucus, NJ!

IIRC The Port Authority, BTW, was created in that New York (State) police officers may not bring their gun into New Jersey. Technically Port Autority property is under th e jurisdiction of BOTH STATES so that guns (on officers) may be from both states.

Too bad Port Authority property doesn't allow the lottery from both states!

If I ever have a house and a collecition and wash-ins again I have to get the NJ crowd to visit!
