These (and similar) were very popular in Australia. They were cheap and very reliable, they are very prone to tangling, especially if overloaded. There was also a larger version, called GE 600N. Earlier ones had the spinning disc pulsator (tangler) the later ones used a reduction gear in the bottom to drive a flattish agitator, they called a pulgitator. (cross between pulsator and agitator.) These reduced tangling and were a very good washer. Hitachi had their own badged versions too.
Wilkins Servis also had a similar machine, made by Toshiba. Philips had one too, I'm not sure who made theirs, maybe Sanyo??
Australian made brands Hoover and Simpson came out with their own machines like this too, made locally and not quite as reliable.
The Hoover Premier was one, it became a very good machine eventually. (early ones very flimsy.) It washed exceptionally well and seemed to last.
