Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

"I think even my frontloaders use more in a wash"

Louis, that's true in case of a full load on boilwash/coloureds. But the actual wash level without load is round the same 8-10 litres (i assume a gallon is almost 4 litres)

Try this :

- take away the drain hose from the wall drain, put it in a mop bucket

run your novotronic (W 715 ?) or the sensortronic (6953 ?) without load on boilwash. Stop, reset and start "drain only"
You won't fill the 10 litre bucket

As both your machines have the eco ball valve I guess they use almost the same level of current ones .... the "difference" is that your machines set with *no option* rinse better than current machines set without water+

True, both of them are round early nineties, but their tech look 20 years forward compared my 1984 W780 sensor (that works more close to the W423)

Guess that 1985 - 1995 has been the most significative decade for both european washers and dishwashers

EXCITING!!!

I just love the simplicity of these washers!!! If only I had the space and money!!! However, the fill as GOT to change. I'm all for saving water, but, I need a little splashin in an FL washer!!!!

Mike, the one at Bob's in Ohio was the early version (small door) that he's raised the water level on. He's been saving one for me and I'm going to have it shipped out here in the next couple of weeks - I can't wait!

The newer version of the SQ has a larger door opening and does use a bit less water. Like Jason said, this can be adjusted for "personal user preference" so I'll bet that's what Jon will do --AFTER the Atomic Proof test is done!

Water Level

If you figure out how to adjust the water level higher, please post instructions with pictures. I might want to increase mine as well.

Nice machine Jon!
How long is the wash cycle on boosted hot ?
It would be nice if all manufactures give the customer a choice of a high water level option like euro washers.
Enjoy your new machine.
Jon what is going on with those classic brown appliances i know you did not get rid of them right...?

Oh Darren we threw those junkers out

last week!!

Actually the combo goes back on the bench for repairs and the other two machines are out of here in april to CA. I am holding them for revvinkevin.

favorit the washer fills once and only once 2 1/2 gallons! There is no additional fill after tumbulation starts. Its a real skimper!

The boosted wash can add anywhere from 24-48 minutes to the cycle. regular hot wash is 24 minutes.

Speed Queen Fill

Load saturation begins with the nozzle over the door before water begins flowing through the dispenser. I have found that clothing is properly saturated by the end of the fill cycle. However, it would be a nice option to have a little more water added for increased sloshing. While water usage is certainly frugal, the SQ is not the stingiest machine out there.

Does anyone know which American FL washer uses the MOST water (other than Meile)? Has anyone researched this? I've tried, but I can't find anything.

Whoa! Cool link! God, almost ALL of those washer AVAILABLE are frugal with water. UUGGGHHH! Anyway, that AMANA FL washer Model: WFC7500VW looks like it uses MORE water for some reason than the larger Whirlpool made machines. I wonder why? Odd!

WFC7500VW

#1 That's because it isn't made by Whirlpool.

#2 It's not on the Amana web site, but it's buried under whirlpool products and is a 2.3 cu. ft. machine, fits under counter top

#3 it's rather old product

Amana WFC7500VW 24" frontloader & matching dryer

#1 "That's because it isn't made by Whirlpool" .....USA but by **Whirlpool Europe**. round 5-10 year old design

The matching dryer is not WP made. They outsource it from antoniomerloni.it, as they do with the 24" Inglis frontloader

The odd thing ASKO has never made a washer-dryer all-in-one combo.
They actually are made by the owner company antoniomerloni.it.
The line on the upper part of the door frame is a merloni signature

You Tube deleted my video as being over 10 minutes, who knew.
Although there are some long videos already there, YouTube won't any more take vids longer than 10 minutes playtime regardless of the file size. A workaround is by splitting long material into multiple clips, Part 1 of 5, part 2 of 5, etc.
