Very hot, humid and sticky. Average daily temp was ~90. Thank God Rick and Chuck let us have use of their pool. Pics will probably be posted soon. Greg, you are so screwwwwwwed!
Bobby in Boston
Looks like y'all had fun...now you need to come to Arizona in 2007, and Texas whenever I have everything finished, LOL!
Can't wait to see more pics! Bobby, is that a DD Whirlpool you rescued from the side of the road? Looks like one, but I can't really tell from the picture.
Hey Westy! Yup, it's a DD BOL Whirlpool. You can still get this same model at Loew's. It's a POS, but I have never disected a DD. I figure it's a good way to learn. Coldspot says they are very easy to fix, usually a plastic coupler goes or the whole tranny can be changed in a short time. I'll post pics disecting it, if I can ever figure out how to post pics!

What was cooking in the big outdoor pot? Crawfish?
Lobsters (lobstah for you, Rayjay!)!!! Gary has pics, and a plan for posting, or so I'm told by a little greenie birdie, so stay tuned!!!
And just remember, it's all the people who come who make it a success! Hosting is fun and Rich and I enjoy it VERY much, but it's no fun if there's nobody else there!!!
Thanks again for everyone's help and extra efforts!!! But Bobby, I just can't believe poor, not-so-dead, Carol Merrill stood us up. That bi*ch!! She was supposed to flair the Yankee Swap gifts!!! Maybe next time!
Hey Chuck My God Yours looks 10 times better then the jambalaya
We have here and I know most probably has a lot better taste as well. Chuch You have to be an awsome cook because now that think about It Your Jambalaya looks even better then the ones in the recipe books. Next time I'm on the phone with Evan I will make sure to ask him how he enjoyed Your jambalaya.
Thanks for the picture, it's awsome looking for sure. Boy I know I missed some good eating.
Hey Skip, thanks so much!! I'm sorry I didn't take a pic of the cornbread we served with it for you too!
mickeyd, I'm from Buffalo and Cheektowaga originally. Frank's is the best! I buy it by the gallon at BJ's. I mention it because we served it on the side with the Jambalaya (and the chicken, the hot dogs... you get it!).
I just want to reply to all of you who thanked Chuck and I for the great time....It is us who would like to thank all of you for making the effort to travel out here. I still am tickled by how wonderful you all are!
The time just seemed to pass in a flash and now it's over. We still have lots to remember you all by....leftover FOOD!!!The food was DELICIOUS!!! If we eat it all we'll be 400lbs each for the nextwash-in (which may be a soon as September if there is enough interest!)
Gansky1 asked "where did you find that sink??"
This sink is in my parents house. It's the one that they chose when the kitchen was built in the late 60s-early 70s. It's an American Standard if my memory serves me correctly.
We both look forward to seeing everyone again very soon and would love to meet even more of you!!! Start thinking September (we'll post more about this as we know more) I look forward to seeing more pictures posted of the wash-in. Gary?, Ray? Greg M?.... We will post some pictures of some of the Brimfield finds in the next day or so.
