Check out the dryer ... interesting ... was that a BOL in the 1970's? 1980's? I have never seen one like that!

Geoff I agree with you. Looks like they took something off a commercial version to create the hood above the dial then fit it around the dial...

Yeah, it does look like a "hybrid". Maybe it was for commercial use; like a hotel laundry or something. I can't ever recall seeing one like that!

The DE90 was Maytag's answer back then for a budget model. plain & simple dryer.

I remember these at Nebraska Furniture Mart, this was indeed an OPL/commercial use machine but was sold as the "value leader" for a super low price in the weekly ads.
