I was just curious to know if anyone on here lives in Canada?

My parents are talking about moving to Canada when I finish Compulsory School (when I am 18 or so), they would like to start a buisness over there something like a Bed and Breakfast or Small Hotel/ Motel, any guys know if this is a good buisness sector in Canada?

Any answers appreciated! :-D

go west!

Come to Vancouver washboy - rarely gets colder than 0 degrees celsius, snows maybe twice a year then everyone stays home because they dont know how to drive in it. Booming economy too... Oh yeah, there is the rain problem....

I'm here... (waving a popsicle,, errrr ice-lolly in the UK)
Of course it's a good country for starting a business, your folks just have to decide what part they're wanting to move to because the country like the US is so vast it's quite different depending on what part of the country you live in, climate wise, tax wise, etc. Other than politics there so little difference day to day living wise between Canada and the US I gaurantee you or anyone else in this forum couldn't tell the difference which country you were in if I dropped you blindfolded in some city or town somewhere in Canada unless you saw a flag or mailbox. The houses are identical, the cars, the signs, the architecture, the furniture and appliances, everything.

I agree Pete- Canada and USA extremely similar.

Funny event:
Some whack-a-doo francophone came over and spat at me in Montreal for speaking English on the streets. Well, she got a piece of MY mind in passable French. She was taken aback at my liguistic ability. LOL

The Gendarme were on her @$$ like white-on-rice. Didn't press any charges.
