Hi! This is my first post on the forum even though I've had an account on here for quite a few years. I recently picked up a Frigidaire WO-65 and an old Speed Queen dryer that I don't remember the model # of off the top of my head. I'm looking for some advice for getting these machines back into service. I am not looking to restore them, I just want them to function. I know the basics of needing to clean and lubricate and look for any frayed/charred wires, But I am wondering if there are any specific issues to look out for and take care of on these specific models? One of my main concerns is the rust in the washing machine. In some areas it is just starting to barely rust through as seen in photos, and want to make sure it doesn't worsen. What are some products that would be recommended to coat it with to prevent further rusting after sanding the rust spots down? From some date codes on the Frigidaire washer it looks like it was manufactured in 1950, the dryer I would guess is a bit later going by it's appearance, maybe 1959/1960? I will update this post with more info and better photos in the future. Thanks for any thoughts, tips, and advice!

Elijah
