KA Mixer Knife Sharpener Accessory

I love having this thing conveniently accessible, as it's a fixture on my K45 mixer.  My kitchen knives have never been so consistently sharp since it's so easy to flip the switch and make several passes before putting a given knife to use.

 

I only have a picture of the instructions for using this attachment, and am wondering if just based on the system that this sharpener uses, whether I can sharpen scissors on it as well.

 

Does anyone else have one of these, and have you had success with using it for scissors?

This is more of a knife grinder-to form a basic edge than a real "sharpener" glad it works for you I like my Work Sharp knife sharpeners better.And the Work Sharp can sharpen scissor blades,too.You can adjust the grind angle on the Work Sharp.The Work Sharp uses abrasive belt-bands rather than wheels-the unit comes with 3 grits-coarse-medium and ultra fine for honing.The unit is very easy to use.I use the mixer for kneading and mixing.
