KA Superba KDS-19 manual wanted

We just bought a house with one of these. Was surprised to see a place like this - but why? The Internet is full of off the wall stuff. Anyway, looks like these were produced from 65 to 68, so, yeah, vintage and working! Just would like to know more about the cycle options and all. Any pointers are welcomed. I see you need at least 140 degree water for good cleaning. Will make sure that is set up.

Try contacting KitchenAid customer support. If there isn't a manual for that model available via download, they can probably send one to you via postal mail.

My mom had the same exact dishwasher for 25 years. Was made 1979 - 1980. Cycle times are long. And no heated drying. Dishes will dry completly if you use jetdry. Cleans very well but noisy operation. The unit was replaced with GE talltub.

I bought this model in 84 as a portable. Gave it to my Sister when hers died in about 90 or so. She replaced it in 03. That was 19 years without a single service call. I;d say that's a pretty good track record.

I agree that it's a great machine, always cleaned well. I never had a problem with the dishes drying. I didn't realize it didn't have a heat dry. I remember the fan always came on during the dry cycle and steam would escape along the bottom of the door. This was a feature so your cabinets wouldn't warp. I loved that machine. I miss the Soak and Scrub cycle. I used that alot. I can remember it starting and stopping and heating the water in between each one.

By the way

You don't have to have your water come in at 140. This machine will heat it if necessary. It will just reduce the running time if it comes in at 140.
