Hello! I have a KDI-17, and I love the thing because it's fast, it does a good job and it's built like a tank. Recently though I have been having an issue with the infinite timer (I think that's what it's called) due to I believe bad contacts internally. The symptom is chattering of the drain solenoid at some the same points in the cycle, and wiggling the knob will cause it to chatter / stop chattering. I also have a busted interlock switch (electrically fine, but one of the hinge points for the tang are broken. So two questions:

Is the infinite switch serviceable? The semi permanent retaining rings and other assembly details make me think it may not be.

If it is not serviceable, can these timers still be obtained from any sources?

Thanks for the help! Since I had nothing to lose, I disassembled the timer. First the hard way, then I realized you don't even really need to take it apart to remove the contacts. It wasn't nearly as finicky as I was worried it might be.Just go slow, and take your time and it all goes back together handily.

My problem appears to be that the cam phenolic cam follower has worn down over time and was no longer positively disengaging the drain solenoid contacts (there isn't a ton of travel there in the first place). Obviously did not have spare cam follower around, so I tweaked the contact slightly to increase the gap. Working okay now... sorry for the long winded response, but I like to follow up when I ask for help! Cheers!
