KDS-15 heater removal

My friend has a KDS-15 dishwasher that is a built in model. My question is how difficult is it to get to the blower unit? Can it be accessed without pulling out the dishwasher? I have a KDS-14 and have removed and replaced mine with no problem. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

You shouldn't have any trouble getting it out, with the power turned off, remove (and mark if necessary) the wires on the left side of the heater unit then just remove the two phillips head screws and it should pull down from the tank with no trouble.

An Easy fix!

Yep, Gansky is right! You can get at it from under the machine. You may need a stubby screwdrive and a good grip to break loose the original screws. If you need any parts for it, let me know. I have a few units hanging around as well as new motors for those blowers.
JUST MAKE SURE YOU KILL THE POWER TO THE DISHWASHER FIRST!

The motor appears to be at the very front of the machine, correct? The KDS-14 is toward the rear of the machine. This looks much easier to service. Thank you all!

It's A Breeze

Well, kind of. Yes it is a totally different configuration from the 14 machine you worked on. Nothing is the same between the two machines except that they were made by Hobart!

What exactly is wrong with the dryer unit in the first place? Let's trouble shoot it first. You may not have to remove much of anything that way!
