KDS-18 HELP! Also Parts Possibly Needed 😬

I finally found the Holy grail of KA machines, the KDS-18! But there’s one problem. It looks like someone cut out a hole by one of the buttons on the control panel (See last photo). So I need to know how I can fix this. Does anyone have extra control panel parts? I’m going to get the machine tomorrow and I’ll see it a little better. I need to make her new and shiny again. How strange. I can't imagine why this would had been done, unless somehow this panel came from another series. Every now and then a KDS-18 (58) panel will show up on ebay. I suppose until then you can cover the whole with an escutcheon or a spare KDS-18 switch button. Can you post a close-up of the hole?
