Keep your eyes peeled

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could please keep your eyes open for a good, used GE filter-flo washing machine. By now, a lot of you know I like those, and I'd be tickled to get ahold of one again. The closer to Indiana, the better.

I've been watching Craigslist, but all I can find are the modern machines with the plastic white knobs.

As far as color, I'm not picky, it could be almond, harvest gold, or white, it doesn't matter, as long as it's in good working order and not beat up. The shipping would be the issue though. I'd like to have one as close to the top-of-the-line as possible and I'd pay more for one with more goodies on it. Mini basket, filter-flo pan and fabric softener dispenser would be a plus, too, but not required.

I appreciate it. They're getting harder to find. I admire the people that have decided to hang onto the ones they have. Thanks guys!

I'm hanging on to ours for as long as possible because knock on wood it hasn't broken down yet in 20 years, nothing.

petek, I don't blame you one bit for holding onto it. Sounds like you've got a lot of use out of yours. They are reliable machines, for sure.

I have a couple, want a matched set? Where in Indiana are you, I'm in South Bend. I have a GE matched set,in almond, a Hotpoint in almond, another GE in white, probably a couple more I forgot about.

A matched set would be great. Are they in good working order, no problems with them? I'm south of Indianapolis, near Martinsville.

The matched set is still on the truck, untested, electric dryer. No pics til this weekend, I'll post 'em here.

The white GE has been tested and works great. It's the newer style of FF, with a short black console. The Hotpoint is still on the truck, untested. I think I have at least one more FF in a storage unit, can't keep track of everything these days,  I'll have to check.
