I've seen this ad a few times but for some reason never noticed the "Filter Fountain" feature on this machine. Did it work the same as a Norge/Wards burpolator? Wondering how that worked with the unique agitation these washers have...
The circular agitator motion of the giant Kelvinator agitator drove water upward as can be seen if you have ever watched the agitation. Unlike the Norge which relied on the agitator pumping the water up to the filter pan, the Kelvinator dashed the water from the surface of the tub up into the filter pan. The circulation was so thorough that the lint filtration was very good plus there were overflow rinses.
The Kelvy granny had, same panel style as in the video but different color scheme and slightly different control choices and no window in the lid, included a filter pan. I assumed it functioned via a burp-up method which was never observed to happen.
