If yours was truly a 1966 model, there were two models:
110.6604600 and
110.6604601
The '601 has at least one minor revision in the mechanicals that the users/owners probably would never even notice, but the difference is enough to change the parts listing, and thus, the model number.
In this case, the '66 600 had the Roto-Swirl agitator. VERY unusual for a 600. The '600 had the bakelite drive-block version and the '601 had the splined, polypropylene black version.
There may have been other minor changes, but this is the one that was obvious to me.
My '67, has slight coloring changes on the panel, and a bakelite straight vane agitator.

That model that is shown in the pictures listed above is clearly a 1967 Kenmore Model 600. That was my fraternal grandmother's washer.
And if memory serves me correct, it was driven by a spline block drive with a Black
Baklite Straight-Vane Agitator in it. There no dispensers so to speak, had a steel screen Lint Filter in a Chrome Housing.
The ONLY thing that I didn't like about that machine was that it didn't have any water temperature combination settings on it. After you got finished filling the machine for the wash cycle, you had to reset it again for the rinse cycle if you wanted to use cold water as opposed to warm water.
It was a good machine other than that. Ours bit the dust in 1990.

My neighbor had the 1967 600 with the black straight vane. From it's outward appearance, as Gordon stated, they are virtually identical. In addition to the agitator being Roto Swirl, the 66 also had 5 wash rinse combos. Featurewise it was identical to the 70 series models of 1965 and 64; the only exception being that the 66 Model 600 had pre-set water levels and the 70 series models had an infinite selector.
There was a video posted on Googlevideo by Dick S, another club member, but I have not been able to locate it.
Gordon: Nice 2nd shot of the 67. I'm sure that amongst your New Years resolutions, getting this up and running is one of them.

I think I've got one.
Mine isn't in super-wonderful shape, but it's got the Balck Bakelite Super Roto Swirl (block-drive). Somewhere along the way, it lost its drive block, so the agitator shaft has the splines. If I restore it, I'd just use a gold straight vane with spline drive I've got lying around. Mine has a supposedly rebuilt transmission too. It sat outside for a year so the white paint has turned chalky.
For me, a rebuild would include painting the cabinet (but not the porcelain top), inspecting the transmission, replacing all the rubber seals, and lubricating the centerpost bearings. It is reported to have a leak someplace as well that would need repair.
If anyone wants it, it's available for cheap and would make a fun little projet,
