Wow, it also has an impeller with the agitator, and 700 RPM spin.

Kenmore top-loading Washer features an exclusive Triple Action agitator that provides motion in three directions. While the base moves back and forth, the post moves up and down and clockwise. This provides more cleaning action to ensure your laundry is washed perfectly.

With an impressive 12 cycles, including Bulky, Delicates and Deep Wash, this machine allows you to choose the best cycle for each specific load. A second rinse option ensures any leftover residue is removed, and the 700 RPM spin cycle helps extract water from clothes. Get cleaner clothes using less water and less energy with this Kenmore top-loading washer.

Combining wash basket motion, impeller rotation, and a burst of concentrated detergent, the Triple Action® agitator deep cleans fabrics while using less water.

Multiple wash cycles give your hardy work clothes, delicate linens, and stained fabrics the treatment they need to look their best.

Rapid spin speeds squeeze excess water from clothes, linens and more for faster, easier transfer to your dryer and shorter dry times.

This belonged to my mother and has been in storage for 10 or so years.

Somebody has definitely gotten their features all mixed up. Let's see here---
1- not only does it supposedly have a triple action agitator (a feature that I don't think came out until well after the dual action was introduced which wasn't at the time this machine was made) but it also comes with an impeller.... OH HOW CONVENIENT! ;)
2- wash basket action....Kenmore's of that lineage don't have wash basket action except for when they are spinning.
3- 12 cycles- yes I could see how you could possibly have a total of twelve cycles on that machine due to the fact that you can alter the temp settings with the cold water switch or possibly add the extra rinse to the cottons cycles but no where does that machine indicate Bulky or DeepWash for a cycle choice.
4- And last is the spin speed. I don't think that Kenmore's from that time offered a 700 rpm spin. I thought they were more around the 550 range.

I will say on a positive note that the $50 price does seem to be appealing considering what the machine actually offers. It's just too bad they didn't give a money shot. Guess they couldn't bear the thought of providing us with a picture of that all inclusive triple action agi impeller washtub!

Oooh..... I've got it!

The seller is describing a Kenmore Elite Catalyst washer because IT has all of those features (except the impeller). The "burst of concentrated detergent" is what convinced me!

I have to give this seller some credit for really "trying" to up-sell the washer by giving a full description and spelling out ALL of it's features. But I then have to take it all back and make it a debit for describing a machine built 25 years after the one in the photos.

700 RPM spin:

Is that what he thinks the 700 on the console means? If not, what a clever way to "spin" its significance for the purpose of the ad. Pun intended.
