Kenmore 80 series. Silly question

Just replaced the clutch on my Kenmore (think it really just needed a new blue spring) but I digress...

What exactly is difference between the permanent press cycle (hardly ever use it) opposed the ultra clean cycle? Can't see it doing anything different

By that time, the Permanent press cycle generally only differed from other cycles in 2 small ways.  

 

1. The spray rinse after the wash would begin immediately after the neutral drain in an attempt to do a "cool-down"

2. Spin speed was generally slow instead of fast.
