Kenmore 4 Star. I have the washer. It would be awesome to get this dryer. I believe Sears had the high speed dryers at the time, you could connect them to 50 amps.
I believe Sears had the high speed dryers at the time,
That is correct Tyler. and yes Hans it is a 1958 model.. If I am not mistaken those early Kenmore High Speed Dryers had a screw in fuse under the lint trap door next to the lint screen. I am not sure though what was the reason for it anyone have the answer? PAT COFFEY
I wonder if the 58 dryer in the LK model had a porcelain drum. John and I saw a LK dryer at a thrift store decades ago that had a blue drum with white speckles, but I am not sure of the year. He said it was very rare.
My 51 Hamilton Dryer uses a 4 amp fuse as a motor protector.
Listers of items on CL and eBay truly amaze me. Did this seller actually think that by leaving those hangers and that bottle of bubbly in the pic that the dryer would sell faster??!? It also wouldn't have hurt the seller to take the time to add more to the description.
I don't think so Paul as if my memory is correct it was there only on the models made for 50 amp service. I could be mistaken though...can anyone shed some light on this situation?
